Outdoor Lighting

As we write this, spring has sprung, but it was perhaps a little too early to have twenty-degree heat, so the temperatures have slipped back!  However, we’re not going to let the fickle nature of British spring weather stop us from thinking about what to do in our gardens when it comes to outside lighting.

In this blog, we are looking at what you can do in your garden or outside space to make it as unique as you are.

Outdoor festoon lights

Festoon lights are always popular with different variations; you can go to town with your outside decor! With different types, there is an option for everyone.

If you’re looking for something more traditional, with a softer lighting feel, our range of Noma warm white festoon lights may be just the thing. These are excellent investment pieces when it comes to lighting. Different bulbs, such as a spiral filament or a more traditional Edison bulb, give you options for a different look. The Edison version also comes in two sizes. Great for if you feel that the larger size would overwhelm your space.

If you are someone who has a more indoor/outdoor feel to your outside space, then the good thing about our Noma lights is that they work both indoors and outdoors, so you can make double the use of them! In addition, each set comes with the possibility of connecting up to four sets, giving you around 30 meters of lighting.

If you’re looking for something a little different, we also have a selection of coloured festoon lights. Again, these would work in any outside space. So it doesn’t matter if you’re looking for something more subtle or looking for full colour. We have you covered.

Solar string lights

If festoon lights feel too much for your space, another great option is to look at solar powered string lights. While many of us will associate these with Christmas and our Christmas lighting selection, we stock several perfect sets for outside spaces.

If you are looking for something to cover an ample sized space, or need a longer length, then the 400 Noma string lights are perfect. These have an enormous length of nearly 40 meters and will give you around 6 hours of light each night, every day of the year. Coming in either warm white or multi-coloured, they would work brilliantly in a tree, around an outside building or anywhere where you want that little extra light.

But what if you’re looking for something different in a smaller run of lights? Our butterfly, bee and dragonfly lights may be the perfect answer! These lights come on a smaller length of metal wire. At just under 3 meters, they are perfect for adding some fun interest to a garden or a smaller outside space or even a balcony.

Battery lights

Our last thoughts on outdoor lighting are battery operated lights. These are great if you love camping or a camper van. With so many different lights, there is something for every space.

The benefit of these lights is that they are truly portable - so if you fancy our Flexible Berry and Ivy Garland around the door of your caravan, then why not? If your awning is crying out for some glamour, then our timelights may be just what you need!

Of course, these lights are not just for intrepid explorers. These lights work incredibly well if you have any lighting needs but no easy access to power. They are perfect for all times of the year, not just the warmer months.

We hope this blog has given you an idea of some of the various types of lights that we offer. NO matter what your outside space is, we are sure you will find something that works for you!
